Community Service Initiative Project Proposal (4th, 5th, and 6th period)

Your proposal will be due no later than October 26, 2005.

Your proposal should include the following in a 1-2 page proposal. This should be typed and must include the following to receive full credit.

• Name, Date, Class Period


• Location you wish to volunteer (or your own organization)


• Their Address, Phone number and contact person.


• Explain what the organization does. What is its mission?


• Tell me why you want to volunteer at this particular place.


• How will your work benefit this organization and/or the Charlottesville Community?

You may design this proposal in any way you wish, but it must include everything mentioned above (1-5). The more time and effort you put into this part of the project, the less you will have to put in on the next. This is only a written proposal and you do not need to complete any volunteer hours.

Your grade on this proposal will be based on the quality of the work you submit.  

CSIP Requirements
1st Nine Weeks:        No attendance at City Council or School Board Meetings
Project research and proposal due (25%)
